Arno Carstens announces the simultaneous release of his 3rd and 4th singles for 2019 and makes them available for pre-save & pre-order

“With these two songs, a fuller picture takes shape of what will be the scope and depth of a fractured album release that will evolve in parts, and complete once all of the pieces are compiled .”  – Arno Carstens 2019

Out of the Blue- Get it HERE

South African singer-songwriter, Arno Carstens returns with his 3rd and 4th single releases of 2019, “Don’t Let it Be” and “Out of the Blue”.

Following on from this year’s earlier releases, “Lift my Spirit” and “Empire of the Night”, Arno returns with 2 more pieces of the sonic puzzle that will ultimately form part of his 7th solo album.

In August this year, Arno began work with Charlie Hamilton (Backstage Studios) and the fruits of their labour resulted in the emotive ballad “Don’t Let it Be”.  According to Arno it’s “an honest reflection and yearning for a positive outcome against the harsh nature of reality”

Charlie has this to say about his time in the studio with Arno:  “Working with Arno was a real privilege and a total blast. From being exposed to his thinking and inspiration to being allowed to help him craft one of his fine songs was a privilege I’ll never forget. He is truly one of this country’s top talents and it was an honour.”

Arno has chosen to release 2 singles simultaneously.  The singer songwriter melodies of “Don’t Let it Be” (produced by Backyard Studios) and the up-tempo feel-good vibes of “Out of the Blue” (produced by The Nothing Club) sit on the opposite, and yet complimentary, ends of the music spectrum.

He first teamed up with the visionaries behind The Nothing Club, Fred den Hartog (Die Heuwels Fantasties) and Dane Taylor (Taylor Soundworks) in 2016 and since then, they’ve maintained creative connectivity through their combined passion for artistry in music.  Their relationship is a long and diverse one, spanning Arno’s English and Afrikaans releases.  Dane won ‘Best Engineer’ at the 2017 SAMA awards for his work on Arno’s debut Afrikaans album, Die Aandblom 13.

“Arno is a living legend and I love working with him.  He brings out the best in me, he inspires me” comments Fred, on working with Arno on “Out of the Blue”, which Arno describes as “a beautiful, feel-good love song that takes a very dramatic and fatal turn; a closing reflection on the wild unpredictability of our existence.”

The singles are available now for pre-order on iTunes and Google Play and Pre-save on Spotify; and from the 29th November for streaming and download across all digital platforms.
